What counts as a cozy game?

We keep CozyGames curated so players trust every recommendation. Before you submit, here’s what we look for — if your game checks these boxes, it’s a great fit.

Gentle by design

No fail states that punish, no harsh timers, no jump scares. Players should feel safe to play at their own pace.

A calming atmosphere

Soft art, a soothing soundtrack, a warm tone. Farming, decorating, crafting, exploring, or slice-of-life all fit beautifully.

Real and playable

The game is released (or has a public demo / wishlist page). We link straight to where players can get it.

Genuinely yours to list

You made it, or you represent the team. We manually confirm every listing is a real, cozy game before it goes live.

Why list your cozy game with us?

Getting a cozy game discovered is hard — the genre is quiet by nature, and the big storefronts bury gentle games under blockbusters. CozyGames exists to be the place players go specifically when they want something calm. A listing here puts your game in front of an audience that is already looking for exactly what you made.

Every accepted game gets a clean listing that links straight to your store page, plus a “Featured on CozyGames” badge you can proudly display on your own website. It’s completely free.

A curated listing

A hand-written page on CozyGames that links straight to your store — in front of players who are here specifically for cozy games.

Your own words, quoted

If you tell us why your game is cozy, we may quote you on the listing — credited, in your voice, never rewritten. Readers find a maker's own description more useful than ours.

Cozy-intent traffic

Referral clicks from players browsing for their next comfort game — a warmer audience than a generic storefront.

Submit your game

Fields marked * are required. It takes about two minutes.

Steam, itch.io, Nintendo eShop, or your official page.

We may quote a line or two of this on your listing page, credited to you. Readers tell us a maker’s own description of how a game feels is the most useful thing on the page. We quote only what you wrote — we never rewrite it or put words in your mouth, and you can ask us to remove it at any time. Leave this blank and we’ll simply write the listing ourselves.

A direct link to an image file — on Steam, the header image (460×215) fits best. Not a press-kit page, a Google Drive share link or a full-size screenshot. Leave blank and we’ll pull the official store image ourselves.

Available on

Leave blank if it’s not announced yet, or if your store page only says something like “Q4” or “Coming soon”. We follow your store page, so a rough internal target is better left out than published.

Shown publicly on your listing, so please use the studio or team name rather than your own — we don’t publish personal names. Leave blank to stay anonymous.

So we can send your review outcome and your badge. Never shown publicly.

By submitting you confirm you have the right to list this game and that it fits our cozy guidelines. We review every submission by hand before it goes live.

Frequently asked questions

Does it cost anything to submit my game?

No. Listing and the "Featured on CozyGames" badge are completely free. We built this to help players find cozy games and to support the indie devs who make them.

What happens after I submit?

Your submission enters our review queue. A human on our team checks that the game is real and genuinely cozy — usually within a few days. If it fits, we write a short listing, add it to CozyGames, and email you a badge you can put on your own site.

What is the "Featured on CozyGames" badge?

It is a small badge you can embed on your game's website or footer. Once your game is approved we email you a personalized badge that links straight to your CozyGames listing, so visitors to your site can find it. The badge is entirely optional and your listing never depends on it — you choose how to mark the link on your own site. Want one before you're approved? You can grab a generic "Featured on CozyGames" badge from our badge page any time.

Do I have to wait to get the badge?

No. A personalized badge (linking to your own listing) is emailed once you're approved, but you can copy a generic "Featured on CozyGames" badge for your footer right now from /badge — no listing required. Both link back to CozyGames.

What kinds of games get accepted?

Cozy, wholesome, relaxing games — farming sims, life sims, decorating games, gentle puzzles, slow exploration, and similar. If it is designed to relax rather than stress, it probably fits. We do not list horror, competitive, or high-pressure games.

My game is not released yet. Can I still submit?

Yes, as long as there is a public page (a Steam wishlist page, itch.io page, or official site). Link to that and we can feature upcoming cozy games too.
